Córdoba exported over 2,399 million dollars in the first four-month period

Data obtained from the statistical report regularly elaborated by the Technical & Commercial Information area of ProCórdoba Agency based on data from the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INDEC).

Considering international sales volumes of the province, a total of 3,316,198 tons was exported, comparing the data from Córdoba with those corresponding to Argentine exports, the Mediterranean province represents 10.8 percent of the national total.

Major  Sectors

Manufactures of Agricultural Origin (MOA), accounted for 49.21 percent of the exports of Córdoba when making sales until April of US Dollars 1181.02 million.

Regarding volumes, more than 1.6 million tons of MOA were sold.

Among the sub areas of agricultural manufactures that registered the highest annual growth in exports include "other animal products" (46.01%), "other manufactures of agricultural origin" (16,64%) and "drinks, spirits and vinegar "(72.11%).

Among the most important sectors in this segment, it was highlighted the increase in "dairy products" (22.87%), while a drop was recorded in exports of "Residues and waste from the food industry" (1.99%) and "fats and oils" (12.76).

Until April, Primary Products (PP) accounted for 22.70% percent of total exports from the province. In this regard, international sales of PP reached US Dollars 544,70 million.

In terms of volume, 1.5 million tons were exported.

Among the most important sub areas for the province, there was a decrease in exports of "grains" (65.93%) and "seeds and oleaginous fruits" (12.94%).

Meanwhile, the Industrial Manufactures (MOI) accounted for 28.09% of international sales in the province.

In this sense, industrial manufacturing sales reached USD 674,120,000 during the first four-month period of the year.

In terms of volumes, 128,089 tons of industrial products were exported. It should be noted the increase in sales of the "Chemicals and related products" sub category with a 28.10% increase over the same period the previous year.

"Machinery, electrical equipment" (4.80%) registered a drop in exports, as well as "transport equipment" (31.02%).

 

On destinations

Brazil and China were the main destinations for exports from Córdoba. In this sense, the neighbor country and majority owner of MERCOSUR accounted for 22.24% of the international sales of the province, when buying for US Dollars 533,720,000.

Meanwhile, China represented 7.17% of exports, while importing from US Dollars 172.20 million.

The list of top 10 destinations for local sales in the first four-month period is completed by the Netherlands (4.87%), Chile (4.60%), Venezuela (4.09%), Vietnam (3.74%), United States (3.50%), Algeria (3.39%), Indonesia (2.62%) and Egypt (2.61%).
