Local firms that joined the trade mission to Paraguay had a good result in the neighboring country. A total of 22 companies of Córdoba integrated this trade mission organized by the Argentine Chancellery and in collaboration ExportAr Foundation. Among them, five firms traveled with the support of the agency: Ingeniería Constructora SRL, Scarpatti Muebles, Pringles Constructora SRL, Perez Juan Sebastián Constructora and Denimed Equipamientos Odontológicos.
Regarding the relevance of this destination, Abel Martínez, from Denimed company (dental equipment), noted:
‘For us, Paraguay is an essential market, it has great potential because there is a significant increase in sales and a social development which, for our particular case, they pay attention to providing good medical equipment technology.’
As to the purpose of his trip, he explained that they have a distributor in Paraguay but they are developing a new product line introduced for new customers to incorporate among their suppliers.
Regarding the results, he said: "We had a very good reception. We managed to close a purchase of some of these new products by the distributor which we have been working with. Furthermore, although participation in the mission was to reinforce the new line, we also came back with a major order to purchase in dental equipment. "
For his part, Juan Scarpatti of Scarpatti Muebles, took part of the mission in order to carry out his first export:
‘I still have no presence abroad. The trip was very positive for this. It is very likely that we wil have an exclusive representative in Asunción. ProCórdoba articulated interviews and, on that basis, I have three possible distributors, I can only select one.’
In turn, regarding the acceptance of his product, he confirmed: "The people we interviewed rescued the fact we have a great product at a fair price. We are the only company in the country making furnishings of dealerships for Audi, Ford, Volkswagen and Hyundai nationwide. We have a good demand at national level, although it currently dropped a bit, having innovative furniture which allows us to look for opportunities abroad. "
About the mission. It took place between July 22 and 23. It consisted of firms in the food and beverage sector, furniture and construction and capital goods (in the sectors of food processing and construction and furniture). Companies were interviewed in business rounds with partners interested in their profiles.
Likewise, local firms had the opportunity to visit the International Expo Fair of Livestock, Industry, Agriculture, Trade and Services, one of the largest fairs of Paraguay, where Argentina had institutional presence with a National Pavilion.
