Kuwait’s Ambassador, Salah Mubarak Almutairi, exposed the trade possibilities between Córdoba and Kuwait after he held meetings with businessmen and representatives of institutions related to this area. During the event organized by ProCórdoba Agency, the Foreign Trade Chamber and Córdoba’s Economic Development Agency (ADEC), the ambassador expressed an interest in the province and positively evaluated the business interviews.

-Why did you choose Córdoba for the analysis of trade opportunities?

-Because Córdoba is the second most important province in Argentina. That is why our goal here is to see the investment opportunities and to make business deals between Kuwait and Argentina.

-Based on the interviews that you held, how would you evaluate the results?

-The first impression was excellent. So far, the companies I met arouse my interest to make deals and cooperate. The companies are organized and professional.

-Which are the sectors that have trading possibilities ?

-Several sectors. For example, the food sector, meat and medicines within the veterinary science sector, in particular.

Next month, we will meet with Córdoba’s Trade Chamber (CaCEC) to sign an agreement between Kuwait’s Trade Chamber and Córdoba’s. This will require cooperation between both entities to analyze and foster trade possibilities.

- Base on the interviews held, what is your opinion about Córdoba’s companies?

-I think that Córdoba has big companies, some of the biggest in Argentina that are interested in exporting not only to Kuwait but also to other foreign countries.

Trade exchange between Córdoba and Kuwait. Based on the statistical data obtained by ProCórdoba’s Trade and Technical Information Area (see document attached), the company’s General Manager. Roberto Rossotto, said that the trade exchange between our province and Kuwait is “incipient” and consequently” has potential to grow and develop”. In this respect, Rossotto said: "today’s exportations are mainly primary products and there are some manufactured products, especially food that could enter into this market".

Moreover, he talked about the sectors that have more possibilities for growth: "For this market they are important, especially in food and medicine and medicine’s equipment and materials sectors".

Furthermore, he said: "it is important to have Kuwait as an alternative access point to Arab markets".
