AgroActiva is one of the most important fairs within the Argentine annual calendar of events linked to the Agricultural Sector. In this framework, ProCórdoba Agency is responsible for organizing  the International Business Round together with the Federal Investment Council (CFI) and articulates this work with the Fair's coordinators, the Government of Santa Fe Province and the technical support of the National Institute for Agricultural Technology (INTA).

For 11 years, these business rounds have called together foreign traders (importers and distributors) linked to the agricultural machinery and agro parts sector. In the last editions, dairy equipment industries have been incorporated.

In order to be successful in the meeting and selection of traders, we work together with the Argentine Embassies abroad and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. So far the 2016 edition considers the invitation to 25 countries of great importance for national businessmen.

At the same time, the Business Round will be visited by technical, academic and institutional delegations from the private and public sectors, from highly strategic sectors such as:  Russia, Mozambique and Angola.

Regarding this, Luis Gilli (Trade Promotion Manager of ProCórdoba Agency) said:

"The business associations of this sector take into account the export policy with a strong strategic support. Based on this, it is very important to contact Latin American countries such as Brazil, Colombia and Mexico in a strategic sense, and the rest of the countries in order to promote sales immediately. Moreover, representatives of countries where the agricultural machinery and direct seeding are becoming more and more relevant were invited to the fair; for example, Eastern Russia and Ukraine and Republic of South Africa, Angola, Mozambique and Botswana in Africa. The search for contacts in Malaysia, Indonesia and India is also new and promoting what has been done in Australia and New Zealand, among other markets, is novel too."

The 2016 edition of AgroActiva will be held from 8th to 11th June in the city of Monje, Santa Fe. This fair is considered to be the largest business generating and training centre and it is chosen by producers, technical professionals and national and international researchers.

Antecedents

For 11 years, ProCórdoba has organized business meetings in this fair. This way, since 2006, the Agency for Export Promotion of the Government of Cordoba province bets on the strengthening and development of one of the most dynamic sectors of the national economy. In addition to the development of the International Business Round, the Province of Cordoba will be showing the potential of the agricultural and agro-industrial sector at an exhibit.
