Companies from Córdoba Get Good Results in FICAD

In the framework of a trade mission organized by ProCórdoba Agency, under the Ministry of Industry, Gatti (industrial fans), Indusparquet (wooden floor), Mosaicos Blangino (tiles), Acquatécnica and Vulcano S.A. (swimming pool accessories) visited this fair in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. What is more, Triton (design and construction of tooling for plastic injection), Impex Argentina (construction machines) and Ladrillera Conci exhibited their products in the fair.

It is important to highlight that this activity was developed in the framework of the Export Development Program to Bolivia. In this context, Noelia Peralta, from the area of Commercial Promotion of ProCórdoba, said:

“This mission meant an opportunity to reinforce the links with the Entrepreneurial Chamber of Argentine and Bolivian Integration (CEIBA) through the signing of an Institutional Collaboration Agreement. Thus, together with the Chamber, the sectors that offer greater business opportunities for Companies from Córdoba were determined with the aim of creating a Strategic Plan that allows strengthening the link with the Bolivian Market."

In turn, from CEIBA's management, the delegation had a meeting with the Manager of the College of Architects. There, they had the opportunity to exchange strategic information of each field.

About the mission's results, Eduardo Bertello, representative of the company IMPEX Argentina, said:

Bolivia is a good market for this field and our company had predefined contacts. We have been able to reinforce those commercial links; this means a sales forecast of 150 thousand dollars for the rest of the year.”

Regarding this opportunity, Bertello said: “The interest is in concrete edging machines because the other line of machines that we produce is not well-developed yet in Bolivia. This provides greater potential for the market.”

For her part, Adriana García from Ladrillera Conci regarded this mission as “very positive” because “we were able to progress with a representative there and we are going to begin doing the procedures for exporting.” Likewise, García expressed:

“The Bolivian market is very interesting because it’s a field where our machinery can be successful. There is nothing like this developed there.”

What is more, Gabriel Delcre, representative of the company Triton, confirmed that it has shot-term business opportunities with companies devoted to the manufacture of reinforced concrete structures: “In the Bolivian market our system does not exist and in a big construction work, with this proposal, costs are reduced and the product can be reused.”

As regards the specificities of its development, Delcre said:

“From this system we developed a plastic mold which has prolonged reuse to produce concrete tiles with structural, aesthetic and operative advantages.”

In this case, the competitive advantage is in the added value of the product, as Delcre explained: “Although the exchange rate does not favor us, all this allows construction companies with lots of interest to emerge. We are working with these contacts.”

About this mission, it was the first mission to this fair organized by ProCórdoba Agency. It was carried out from 8th to 12th April. In the framework of this fair, the most important companies and professionals of the construction and architecture sector are brought together. There, the latest news and innovations of the sector are exhibited.
