  • A total 120 meetings were held between companies from Córdoba and firms from Chile, Colombia, Peru, and Paraguay.

A total of 120 meetings were held between 27 local companies and six foreign firms from Chile, Colombia, Peru, and Paraguay. They took place during Conecta Río Cuarto, an inward mission aimed at linking companies from Córdoba in the animal feed and nutrition sector with potential buyers from abroad.

The event, organized by ProCórdoba Agency and the Río Cuarto Business, Trade, Industrial and Service Center (Centro Empresario, Comercial, Industrial y de Servicios de Río Cuarto, CECIS), lasted two days and had the support of the local government and the productive sectors of the region.

The goal was to boost sales from the center of the country to Latin American markets, which recognize the quality and innovation of products from Córdoba.

During two days of work, there were lectures, training sessions, business rounds, and visits to companies that develop research and manufacture these types of food products.

The event was opened by ProCórdoba's president Pablo De Chiara, CECIS's director Atilio Lunardi, and Agroalimentos Santa Rosa's leader Gustavo Perlo.

In his speech, Pablo De Chiara confirmed that the event was in line with one of the goals of the Government of Córdoba, i.e. to reach different areas of the province with projects and tools that boost international trade for local SMEs. "Our plan is for Conecta Río Cuarto to take place again and become a regular activity in the calendar of inward missions that ProCórdoba draws up every year. The event was possible thanks to the support of the local government and the different productive sectors of this city and the region," said the officer.

At the end of his presentation, the president of ProCórdoba said that "one of the objectives of these inward missions is for visitors to get to know our province, our companies, our people and passion, so that they get a sense of how we work and do business with us."

The event also offered a workshop on the organization of business rounds aimed at students from the Universidad Nacional de Río Cuarto and the Universidad Siglo 21.

On the second day, the foreign firms were able to visit and tour the industrial plants of the companies Biofarma, Alimentos Santa Rosa, Compañía de Alimentos, and Bio4.
