- A series of activities took place in the city of Córdoba to showcase the investment opportunities for Dubai in the region.
- The agenda was coordinated by ProCórdoba Agency and encompassed different institutional and commercial meetings which included the participation of Martin Ridley, Chief Representative for Argentina and LATAM of the Dubai International Chamber.
- This chamber provides foreign trade support to companies based in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) and seeks to improve their competitiveness and facilitate their access to new markets.
The meetings, held with representatives of different governmental and business institutions, revolved around the characteristics of international trade, especially focusing on the sectors of mutual interest: energy, logistics, health, agritech, fertilizers, and food.
On this occasion, ProCórdoba’s President Pablo De Chiara said, “these efforts are in line with the mandate entrusted to us by Governor Martín Llaryora: that Córdoba have a greater international presence as well as much more power in terms of trade, and that this generate the possibility of new investments, attract capital, and above all, generate more jobs”.
The agenda
Firstly, Martin Ridley and his entourage were received at the headquarters of ProCórdoba Agency by Pablo De Chiara and other authorities of this organization together with Secretary of Regional Integration and International Relations Carlos Massei. There was a presentation on Córdoba as an attractive destination for trade and the plans that the province is carrying out in terms of internationalization of goods and services and investment promotion.
The representative of the Dubai International Chamber in the region then met with business chambers of the province in the auditorium of the Córdoba Grain Exchange. The meeting was attended by authorities from the Córdoba Industrial Union, the Association of Meat Processors, Packers and Industrial Producers of the Province of Córdoba, the Córdoba Chamber of Foreign Trade, the Association of Small and Medium-Sized Dairy Companies, and the Argentine Graphic Union - Córdoba Branch, among others.
Finally, the Civic Center of Córdoba was the venue for the "Investment Opportunities in Dubai" seminar. Martin Ridley presented the scope of its foreign trade promotion actions before provincial officials, entrepreneurs, and local businesspersons.
Among those present were Pablo De Chiara; Minister of Production, Science and Technological Innovation Pedro Dellarossa; Secretary of Industry Ignacio Tovo; Executive Director of the Córdoba Innovate and Entrepreneurship Agency Gonzalo Valency; and Undersecretary of Biodevelopment and Agricultural Innovation Germán Font.
