From the statistics report that is usually made by ProCórdoba Agency according to the database of the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC, in its Spanish acronym), we provide you with the most important data.
During the first three months of this year, the total exports of the province of Córdoba reached U$S 1,533.10 million and if we consider the international sales of the province per volumes, a total of 2,955,632 tons were exported.
If we compare the data of Córdoba with the corresponding data of the Argentine exports, the province of Córdoba represents 11.44 per cent of the national total.
Major Fields
Agricultural Manufactures (MOA) represented 48 per cent of the exports of Córdoba when sales were made for the sum of 740.19 million dollars. Regarding the volumes, over 1,294,241 tons were sold.
One of the most important sectors of this field is "tanning and dyeing extracts" which increased (34.23 per cent) and "prepared vegetables" which increased (4.82 per cent). There was a decline in the exports of "residues and waste of food industry" (9.55 per cent) and "fats and oils" (13.21 per cent), and "dairy products" (16.8 per cent).
The Industrial Manufactures (MOI) represented 27 per cent of the international sales of the province, reaching the sum of 418.01 million dollars when 84,974 tons of these types of products were exported.
"Machinery and appliances, electrical equipment" (27.05 per cent), "Transport Equipment" (13.54 per cent) and "Chemical Products and Related Items" (32.55 per cent) were the sub- fields of the most important industrial manufactures (MOI) which registered decreases in their international sales. Moreover, there was an increase in “paper, cardboard, printing and publications” (22.28 per cent).
Primary Products (PP) represented 24 per cent of the total exports of the province. There was a year-on-year increase of 76 per cent. In this sense, the international sales of PP reached 374.90 million dollars.
Regarding the volumes, 1,576,417 tons were exported. Within the most important sub-fields for the province, the exports of "cereals" increased (101.63 per cent) and the "oil seeds and oleaginous fruits" increased (13.99 per cent).
Destinations
Brazil and Vietnam were the main destinations of the exports from Córdoba. In this sense, the neighbouring country and senior partner of MERCOSUR represented 21% of the international sales of the province when purchases were made for the sum of U$S 324.54 million. Vietnam represented 10.26% of the exports when it imported for the sum of U$S 157.36 million.
The list of the top ten destinations, March 2015: Chile (5.01 per cent), Netherlands (4.75 per cent), Indonesia (3.76 per cent), United Kingdom (3.57 per cent), China (3.48 per cent), Algeria (3.29 per cent), Venezuela (3.24 per cent) and the United Stated (3.20 per cent).
