The Government of the Province of Córdoba — through ProCórdoba Agency — and the Office of the Under-Secretary of Cooperation and International Relations have signed a Cooperation Framework Agreement whose purpose is the transfer of know-how and technology regarding the “Exportadores de Córdoba” (Córdoba Exporters) platform.
This free online tool was created by ProCórdoba Agency over 5 years ago to promote products and services of all companies based in the Province of Córdoba in international markets.
The tool has become the state device that companies use to inform the world about their products, and it also works as a document that potential foreign clients can permanently consult when they seek up-to-date information about the export offer of the Province of Córdoba.
ProCórdoba’s President Jorge Marcotegui said:
“We are very happy to be able to transfer technology and knowledge to the Province of Buenos Aires, through the implementation of this tool which is so highly valued by the Cordobese business world.”
The platform’s features, such as its user-friendly nature for both buyers and exporters, have gained it recognition on the part of trade promotion bodies. In this case, the support that ProCórdoba will provide to strengthen the export offer of Buenos Aires is extremely important, as is the consolidation of a harmonized export offer that enables the visibility of Argentine products beyond the country’s borders.
The Office of the Under-Secretary of Cooperation and International Relations of the Province of Buenos Aires announced its intention to provide this service and to consolidate, on a sole platform, all the information about the province’s export offer, and thus open a window into which the world can look and get to know each of Buenos Aires’s productive sectors, and contribute to the internationalization of its companies.
Diego Cagliolo, Under-Secretary of Cooperation and International Relations of the Province of Buenos Aires, explained,
“It is very important to have a tool like this one — interactive, online, free —, so that all SMEs can show themselves and their products to the world, and be seen from an international window. The Province of Buenos Aires did not have a platform like this one. Thanks to the collaboration of ProCórdoba, which has great experience in this, and the help and technical support of the Federal Council of Investments (in Spanish, CFI), we have taken a huge step forward, and now we’ve made significant progress in this project.”
He added, “This project has been in the works for ten months. The first stage kicked off in February and we hope that by the end of the year there will be 1500 companies registered on the platform. The ultimate goal is to reach 5000 companies. To attain that target, we need the collaboration of the SMEs registered on the platform.”
ProCórdoba’s Jorge Marcotegui, concluded, “Based on the experience that we have in our province, Exportadores de Córdoba is an efficient and very useful platform for SMEs. We hope that companies in the Province of Buenos Aires will be able to take advantage of this tool and make it their own.”
