ProCórdoba Agency works hand in hand with the business sector in Córdoba to support Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the export process, promoting and positioning the companies in the most important international markets.
Now we are pleased to congratulate Hongos & Funghi, which, for the second year in a row, has received a “The Winner” award, given by Magazine Top International Business, which brings together business leaders and companies famous for their outstanding business reputation, and social and environmental responsibility.
Hongos & Funghi has participated, together with ProCórdoba, in different missions and fairs, such as Expo Milano at Milan, Italy. In addition, thanks to the Intranational Program, the company had the opportunity to showcase its products and participate in the business round which took place at the International Food Fair in the city of Rosario. Fabio Balest, a representative of the Villa General Belgrano Office in Valle de Calamuchita (Córdoba), said,
“We are very happy. This is the second time Magazine Top International Business honors us with such a big award. We are very proud that our daily efforts do not go unnoticed. Our goal is to offer a top-quality product and to be recognized at the national and international levels.”
Balest added, “We seek to attain sustainable development; we need nature, its natural resources, and we respect them. Training our gatherers is of great importance to us, because they are the first link in the production process. Nowadays, we have over 100 employees at Córdoba and Patagonia.” Fabio Balest concluded, “Hongos & Funghi’s commitment to society is strong, which is why it supports and seeks to strengthen rural economies, being aware that our gatherers come from rural areas in the Cordoba mountains and the Andean-Patagonian forests. We are grateful for the support and professionalism of ProCórdoba, whose team gives us real opportunities to enter international markets.”
The company, based in the south of Córdoba, commercializes five kinds of fungi gathered from Argentine forests and manufactures premium quality sub-products. At present, they export their products to Uruguay and Switzerland regularly.
The company is working with ProCórdoba to widen their market horizons and it has participated in national and international fairs, and especially in the Business Rounds organized by the Agency.
