Excellent Results in the Reverse Mission for Export Groups

In the framework of the Foreign Trade Conferences, a reverse trade mission was carried out for the export groups from Córdoba. This event was held within the schedule 2015, joint work between ProCórdoba Agency and the Federal Investment Council (CFI). From 11th to 16th May, Córdoba Medical Care (medical services), Córdoba Produce (audiovisual services), hunting and fishing companies and companies linked to international tenders were visited by counterparts, with favourable results for these sectors.

Co-production agreement between Córdoba and Brazil

Regarding the trade mission for "Córdoba Produce" Export Group, Rachel do Valle, representative of the Brazilian Association of Independent Television Producers (ABPITV), said:

“We are interested in trade. Córdoba TV producers can contribute a lot to the contents. We have signed a co-production agreement. It is an idea that we have been working on after their visit to Brazil in the mission to Content Río Market."

About this, she asserted that "it is the first co-production of a series between Brazil and Argentina and this is going to be performed with companies from Córdoba."  She also announced that "we are working to do more things together."

Eduardo Raccah, International Coordinator of “San Pablo Cine” (SPCINE), said that the interest in the local productions is because of the "quality and creativity" of the professionals of the sector from Córdoba. He also highlighted:

"The contact we have made with Córdoba Produce from the mission carried out in Brazil allowed us to make an investment of 200 thousand pesos in Córdoba productions. These films are being part of an exhibition in two cultural centers of Sao Paulo."

On behalf of “Córdoba Produce”, Paola Suarez, producer in “Jaque Productora/Germina Films”, acknowledged that "much of the investment made is related to Portuguese subtitles." This allows the local group to "have access to the huge Brazilian market.

On the other hand, Eugenia Ferrer, producer in “La Ventana Cine Itinerante”, asserted that this was possible thanks to "a proportion of the Córdoba television industry's content that has been increasing a lot these years.

Romina Savary, president of “Bonaparte Cine”, added:

Today we can get these results because from Córdoba Produce we made a good use of the government resources -provincial and national- aimed at this sector."

Export Medicine

In this framework, the export group of medical services “Córdoba Medical Care” was visited by Pablo Castillo, representative of the Canadian company “MedBrick Inc.” This contact was essential for moving the negotiations forward because Castillo is the intermediary between travel agencies and clinics from Canada, strategic destination for the promotion of the sector.

“In Córdoba and in the country, medical tourism is growing. Nowadays, we have patients from the neighbouring countries; however, we have seen an increase in the demands on the part of Canada and USA", said Marcos Hussey from “Sanatorio Diquecito.”

Due to the good results, the local group is analyzing the possibility of participating in a congress in Canada to continue promoting the advantages of the local medical services.

Local Boomerangs with sale in Chile

Carlos Alberto Salgado, from the Chilean armoury "El Rifle", held business meetings with companies linked to the hunting and fishing sector. About these results, he said:

“For the time being, we have made an important purchase from Voodoo Boomerangs Company. We are going to sell its 15 models of boomerangs in our shop in Santiago de Chile and we are going to be in charge of the distribution of the brand in the whole country."

What is more, Salgado acknowledged that with the local company we will hold a long-term negotiation because "the product is innovative, accessible and well-known, with a lot of potential for sale."

The representative of this armoury, the largest one in Santiago de Chile, held business meetings with Industrias Airvam, Armas Neumáticas Menaldi and Balines Argus. Salgado highlighted that the products of these companies "are interesting." Their competitiveness is being evaluated.

The businessman Andrés Almansa from Uruguay was interested in accessories linked to the field of compressed arms of these local companies. With each of them, he progressed on the quote requests to analyze the possibilities of purchasing.
