Kazakhstan: a Strategic Destination for Córdoba's Agricultural Machinery

  • The Argentech Export Group conducted its 2024 Inward Mission.
  • International operators from Central Asia visited the province and toured fields and industrial plants.

The Argentech 2024 Inward Mission was a week during which four international operators visited the province of Córdoba to explore business opportunities with the agricultural machinery industry.

The entourage got to see first-hand the work of Ingersoll from Monte Maíz; Metalfor and Abelardo Cuffia from Marcos Juárez; Mainero from Bell Ville; Pauny and TBeH from Las Varillas; BTI AGRI from Oncativo; Ascanelli from Río Tercero, and Sohipren from Capital.

In addition, they made field visits where they were able to see for themselvs the machinery and equipment at work. Ruslan Yashkin Kolokoloff, a member of the entourage, said, "This is not our first time here, we came last year. Now we've brought clients to develop business with the agricultural industry of Córdoba. It has been very interesting. We are leaving with opportunities to develop business with Kazakhstan, and other Central Asian countries, such as Uzbekistan. I hope that many customers in the region will be interested in Argentine products. They have very good quality, they are simple, and very different from Chinese products. We must achieve better prices, though, because Argentinean prices are sometimes higher. But we are content and grateful for this opportunity. We will try to organize trips for Argentech to visit Kazakhstan, and who knows, we may have a Córdoba Day in Central Asia."

Kazakhstan's potential as a destination for export

Kazakhstan has a strong economy, with an average GDP growth of over 6% in the last 20 years. It is rich in natural resources and has an ideal geopolitical location at the heart of Central Asia, on the Silk Road between Europe and the Far East. This country is one of the main agricultural centers of the Eurasian continent. Now it needs to undergo a gradual transition from primary production to high value-added agricultural products.
The country is thus seeking to develop their agroindustrial sector, strengthen their productive capacity to achieve economies of scale, update and renew agricultural machinery, and implement innovative solutions and modern agricultural technologies.

The Argentech Group
For several years, ProCórdoba Agency has been working together with the agricultural machinery sector, represented by AFAMAC (Association of Manufacturers of Agricultural Machinery), in projects aimed at the internationalization of Córdoba's companies.

So was born the Argentech Group, comprising nine companies from different locations in the province, which work on associative projects.
For the past four years, Argentech has been conducting inward missions with specifically-selected international operators.
