ConnectAmericas, together with LaREDChina, made joint efforts in order for the users to benefit from this new and important alliance of "integration, communication and information exchange between China and Iberoamerica”. 

LaREDChina brings together businessmen from China and Latin America that have already started commercial activities between both regions or have the potential to do it. 

In relation to the opportunities offered by the Chinese market, Fabrizio Opertti, Chief of the Trade and Investment Unit of the Inter-American Development Bank (BID), highlighted:

“China, Latin America and the Caribbean have been building a dynamic economic relation throughout the years. At the beginning of 2000, the percentage of trade between Latin America and China was only 1, 5% and in 2013 it reached 12, 3% – an impressive yearly growth rate of 22%-. China has become the main trading partner of Brazil and Chile, and it is estimated that it will be the main partner of the whole region, surpassing the United States from the year 2025.”
