ProCórdoba Agency coordinated the meeting agenda that was held in Argentina by the officials Mahomed Valá and Jermías Chauque of the Ministry of Agriculture of Mozambique. They said that they visited our country in order to “acquire knowledge and experience on how to improve the agricultural environment” of the African country.
Valá and Chauque met with Ricardo Buryaile (Minister of Agro-Industry of Argentina), his secretaries and the representatives of the Association of Manufacturers of Agricultural Machinery and Agro components of the Province of Córdoba (AFAMAC). Besides, they visited the facilities at Expoagro, the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA), and the delegations of Marcos Juárez and San Pedro.
Regarding his visit, Mohamed Valá said:
"We visited Argentina because we wanted to acquire knowledge and experience on how to improve the agricultural environment of our country. During our visit, we were able to see the strength and consolidation of the production sector. This is because of the close relationship between the public and private sector. We are convinced that the State must be the development facilitator of the sector."
The main goal of the officials of Mozambique is to be instructed in the transference of technological knowledge in order to improve the productivity for the agricultural sector and to establish bilateral cooperation links with Argentina, through the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA), and integration programs.
Finally, Valá highlighted the importance of the President Mauricio Macri’s speech in the official opening of the tenth edition of Expoagro. He bets on the growth of the Argentine countryside by facing the challenge of increasing food production in order to reach zero poverty and he said:
"Mozambique must learn from the Argentinean leader who encourages farmers to improve their production and become true entrepreneurs."
The officials Mohamed Valá and Jermías Chauque thanked ProCórdoba’s managers, Dario Ciscar (coordinator the Area of Trade Promotion) for the management and the link that led to the coordination of the visit. They also thanked the Government of the Province of Santa Fe. They expressed their desire to continue working together and carrying out the integration programs and the bilateral cooperation between both countries.
