The Government of the Province of Córdoba through ProCórdoba Agency, under the Ministerio de Industria, Comercio, Minería y Desarrollo Científico Tecnológico (Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Mines and Scientific-Technological Development), together with the Cámara de Industriales Metalúrgicos y de Componentes de Córdoba (Chamber of Metallurgical Industries and Components of Córdoba), had the opportunity and the necessity to participate in the "Oil & Gas Energía PATAGONIA 2014" Fair with an institutional stand.
In this event, a broad range of business opportunities for companies from Córdoba were appreciated, which implies the challenge of meeting the unmet demands within this sector as a consequence of a decrease in the imports.
In relation to this, one of the representatives of the Chambers from Neuquén said:
“The oil industry is re-emerging and now it is in a development stage. We hope that when it starts working at internationally acceptable production levels, the demand will not be able to be assisted completely by the internal market”
The ProCórdoba Agency staff chosen for the event was responsible for assisting companies from Córdoba according to the development mode of the fair and, likewise, for generating a place within the stand for creating contacts between businessmen from Córdoba and the participants of this trade event.

As a consequence of the direct missions developed in October 2013 and in May 2014 and the reverse mission held in September of the current year, the companies from Neuquén were able to know about the work the Intranational Program is performing, and in this way strengthen the relationship between Córdoba and Neuquén.
In this event the following representatives of the Government of the Province of Córdoba and the Chamber of Metallurgical Industries and Components of Córdoba (CIMCC):
Benjamín Buteler, President of the Council for Strategic Planning of the Province Córdoba (COPEC).
Ing. Luis De La Cuesta, Director of Industrial Policies of the Government of the Province of Córdoba.
Eduardo Borri, Deputy Member of CIMCC.
Karina Corradi, Deputy Member of CIMCC.
Tech. Fernando Ortega, Coordinator of National Missions of ProCórdoba Agency.
Lic. Sabina Trossero, Coordinator of the Oil and Mining sector of CIMCC.
It is important to highlight that the Government of Córdoba is developing and working permanently in this sector in order to open a trade market in which the province did not participate till now.
In relation to the activities performed within this sector, the Manager of the Technical and Commercial Information Area of ProCórdoba Agency, Simón Blengino, said:
“Córdoba entrepreneurship is on the way to understand that it is a medium and long-term work that must be performed in order to meet the demand in this field, as a conjunctural issue of the difficulties with the automobile industry and the external sector in particular."
The OIL & GAS PATAGONIA 2014 Fair was held in Espacio Duam in the city of Neuquén from 1st to 4th October 2014, with the presence of 133 exhibitors.
