AgroActiva is one of the largest exhibitions in our Argentine annual calendar of events linked to the agricultural sector. In the framework of this event, ProCórdoba Agency, under the Ministry of Industry of the Province, organizes the development of the International Business Rounds in conjunction with the coordinators of the event.

For 10 years these business rounds have invited foreign operators (importers and distributors) linked to the agricultural machinery and agro-parts sector and, in the last editions, to the dairy equipment industries. To do so, we worked together with the Argentine embassies and the Foreign Office in the call addressed to foreign operators. So far, the 2015 edition invites 25 countries of great relevance for national businessmen.

With respect to this work, Luis Gilli, Trade Promotion Manager of ProCórdoba Agency, said: 

“The business associations of the sector take into account the export policy with a strong strategic support. From this, they are defined as destinations to contact Latin American countries in a priority way. Moreover, representatives, where the agricultural machinery and the positioning of direct seeding are becoming important, were invited such as Russia and Ukraine in the East and South African Republic, Zimbabwe, Angola and Mozambique in Africa. Searching for contacts in Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, among other places is becoming new.”

The 2015 edition of AgroActiva will be developed from 10th to 13th June in the city of Monje, Santa Fe.  This fair is considered to be the largest center for business generation and training chosen by producers, technical professionals and national and international researchers. 

Antecedents

For the tenth consecutive year, ProCórdoba organizes business meetings in the exhibit. Since 2006, the Export Promotion Agency of the Government of the Province of Córdoba aims at strengthening and developing one of the most dynamic sectors of the national economy.

The International Round reflects the economic and commercial reality of the sector reaching its peak in its 2011 edition, where 553 interviews among 16 international operators were conducted. They got together with 80 Argentine businessmen –mainly from Córdoba, Santa Fe and Buenos Aires-, representatives of the agricultural machinery and agro-parts sector. 

In addition to the development of the International Business Round, the Province of Córdoba, as on previous occasions, will show the agricultural and agribusiness sector's potential in a lot (over 2,400 meters).
