SITEPLAN has participated, since 2017, in different assistance programs offered by ProCórdoba Agency. Working together with the Agency, the firm was able to attend the most important international shows and congresses in the telecom sector, and obtain funding from FExIC (the Fund for Export and Internationalization of Cordobese Companies).
SITEPLAN is a software company devoted to project management and the development of apps targeted at improving efficiency in work groups. It has developed a product called Sytex, which consists in a solution for the management of industrial projects focused on technology deployment. The app adds efficiency to work processes by centralizing all the information in a single place.
Siteplan founder Mariano Lisiotti talked about their experience with ProCórdoba Agency:
The Agency's relationship with the company is direct and very close, and, honestly, that boosts our work. The professionalism of the resources and the follow-up that comes after each activity are very positive and worth noting."
It was after its first contact with ProCórdoba two years ago that Siteplan began its internationalization process. In order to achieve this goal, it was crucial to have access to FExIC.
The objective of said Fund is to partially fund projects that seek to increase exports, diversify or regain markets, or achieve the internationalization of Cordobese companies, through business plans or projects that lead to the increase in Cordobese exports and the generation of quality employment.
Lisiotti explained how they capitalized on FExIC:
FExIC allowed us to start developing the company's marketing platform for the foreign market. We have worked with videos and social media focusing on the American and Latin American markets, which are our main goals for the coming years."
On the other hand, Siteplan began attending exhibitions in the telecom sector, which implied a qualitative leap when it showed its product to the world:
With the support of ProCórdoba we went to the Barcelona Mobile World Congress, the largest event in the industry, and we will attend the fair again this year. We've participated in shows in Los Angeles and San Francisco, where there's a more regional vision, and we are considering other missions to the East Coast in the USA."
Regarding the importance of attending these events, Lisiotti pointed out,
The contacts established in each exhibition remain overtime and this allows us to generate an interest in other parties that lead to the closing of deals (...) ProCórdoba ha helped us to be consistent. Attending exhibitions and taking some distance from local everyday business helps the company have a more international spirit and an export goal."
New Markets
Siteplan currently exports a large share of their work to Israel. This software solution project accounts for 30 percent of total revenues. In addition, it has recently started exporting Sytex to Peru. Far from settling with how much they have grown so far, the company is very much aware of the challenges that lie ahead.
The objective for this year is to grow in the Latin American market. We already have some projects in Peru, and we want to expand to Brazil and Colombia, and go back to the USA, where the sector's target market is."
In a period of approximately one year, the company's plant went from having six people to the current 16, and the idea is to employ even more human resources: engineers and programmers, mainly, but also support staff for administration and implementation tasks.
