From the area of Cooperation and International Relations of ProCórdoba Agency, institutional actions are performed in order to improve the links with different organizations, geographical spaces and target market. Among them, the relationship with Japan is of great importance. During the course of time, there has been a strong relationship with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
This Agency, which depends on the Japanese Government, conducts technical cooperation programs restricted by the application of different modalities, such as the sending of Senior Volunteers, people who are specialized in different professional fields that help receiving entities with their specific programs. Through them, ProCórdoba has benefited from the reception of 4 experts until now.
Within the framework of the JICA Knowledge Co-Creation Program, which since the beginning it has contributed to the development of Argentina through the training of human resources in Japan, our Agency's personnel were chosen to attend and get prepared in 2013 and 2016.
In January, after the corresponding selection, Noelia Peralta (coordinator of the Trade Promotion Area of ProCórdoba) was beneficiary of the JICA Grant. She had the opportunity to participate in the training course on “Development Policies of SMEs,” which was conducted in the Hiroshima Prefecture , Japan, from 19th January and 25th February of this year.
In these 15 years of institutional life, ProCórdoba Agency thanks for the constant support on the part of the Japanese cooperation, which resulted in the institutional strengthening with training courses, studies on the food sector, training courses on virtual tools and significant contributions to the development of the directory of Exportable Offer of the province "Exportadores de Córdoba", collaboration with the plan to open up and enter the Japanese market for Córdoba’s Peanut (program implemented by the Argentine Chamber of Peanut), Japanese experts' visit to the agricultural machinery sector, among other contributions.
